C. Dan Carson is the principal of Advanced Planning, Inc, a planning firm specializing in personally advising families, individuals, and businesses toward wise financial stewardship.

As a financial planner since 1988, Dan specializes in helping his clients understand that financial planning is not just about the rate of return you earn on investments. He is able to communicate to his clients in terms that are easy to understand the complex issues most people face today when it comes to their money such as taxes, inflation, wealth transfers and much more. With his style of communication, Dan is able to truly help his clients comprehend what problems they are facing and the solutions that will help them reach their financial goals.

As well-known financial educator in the Upstate of South Carolina, Dan hosted the”Bible Based Money Management” radio show offering financial education in a broad range of financial topics. As a recognized trainer and speaker to the financial services industry, he has shared the main platform with financial industry notables such as Harry Dent and Bill Good. He has taught financial education on various topics through Greenville Technical College as well as public educational seminars and workshops. Dan’s teaching style is vibrant, engaging and entertaining.

He holds a series 7 securities license (registered stock broker) as well as series 24(registered principal) and series 65 (registered investment advisor) affiliated with Summit Brokerage Services Inc,. He has been conferred the Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College in Bryn Mar, PA. All of which require continuing education requirements for maintenance.

Dan is a native and life long resident of Greenville, South Carolina where he lives with his beautiful wife, Tamma. He has two grown children, Tyler and Lauren and twin grandchildren Carlie and Chase. Dan is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (Tamma graduated from Clemson). He began his working life with the Greenville Police Department in the Uniform patrol Division where he devoted 4.5 years of service before embarking on his career in the Financial service Industry. Dan is a member of North Hills Community Church where he has taught financial stewardship from a Biblical perspective. Having been in the same location since 1989, his office is located in the Historic District of Overbrook on East North Street in Greenville.
